Koen Alexander is a highly qualified professional in the field of photonics and engineering, currently serving as the Manager of R&D Engineering at PsiQuantum since April 2019, following roles as Senior R&D Engineer and R&D Engineer. Prior to this, Koen was a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Candidate at Ghent University, focusing on the integration of novel materials for on-chip nonlinear optics. Koen's educational background includes a PhD in Photonics Engineering from Ghent University, a Master of Engineering in Engineering Physics from Cornell University, and a Master of Science in Photonics obtained through the European Master of Science in Photonics program. Additionally, an early internship at ICFO involved researching the effects of high numerical aperture objectives in polarization-sensitive second harmonic generation microscopy.
