Patricia Milton

Patricia Milton has extensive experience in academia and agricultural research, currently serving as a student supervisor and part-time lecturer at Polytechnic College (PTC) Suriname since October 2007, and as a student supervisor in the Biology Department at the Advanced Teachers Institute since March 2015. Previously, Patricia held several significant roles at the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries from October 1987 to February 2020, including Chairperson of the National Seed Board and the National Coordinating Commission on Plant Genetic Resources, as well as Agronomist and Director of Agricultural Research. Additionally, Patricia contributed to education as a part-time lecturer at various institutions within the Ministry of Education between 1993 and 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Agronomy Seed Technology from Mississippi State University and a degree in Agriculture with a focus on Crop Production from the Faculty of Technology at Anton de Kom University of Suriname.

PTC- University of Applied Sciences

Het PTC, opgericht in 1997, is een hogere technische beroepsopleiding waar project- en praktijkgericht onderwijs, kennis én technische innovatie voorop staan. Erkend door de staat Suriname, kent het PTC op dit moment drie sectoren. De sector Techniek is een 5-jarige avondopleiding met de studierichtingen Elektrotechniek, Infrastructuur en Werktuigbouwkunde, Informatie Communicatie Technologie, Hoger Laboratorium Onderwijs en Internationaal Ondernemerschap in de Agroketen. Afgestudeerden van deze studierichtingen dragen de titel Bachelor of Applied Technology (B.Tech).
