Nitika Jain is an experienced educator with a current role as the 2nd Grade Lead Teacher at the Girls Prep Lower East Side Elementary School within the Public Preparatory Network, where teachings began in August 2013. Nitika has also taught 1st and 2nd grades at the GO Project since October 2012 and served as an Associate Teacher at The Spence School from September 2011 to August 2013, supporting 2nd grade and Kindergarten classrooms. Previous experience includes a position as an Assistant Teacher at Bank Street School for Children from September 2010 to June 2011 and a decade in corporate finance as an AVP and Senior Business Analyst at Citigroup from 2001 to 2009. Nitika holds a Master of Science in Education in Early & General Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Economics from New York University.
