Qamar H. Arsalan is an experienced engineering professional specializing in power system planning and analysis. Currently serving as the Manager of Transmission and Distribution Planning at PSEG since 2008, Qamar leads a team to develop future system upgrades, ensuring reliability and economic operation of the power grid. Previously held roles include Manager of Transmission Planning and Principal Engineer, where Qamar focused on transmission system performance and engineering studies utilizing advanced software tools. Qamar has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology and has held research associate positions at Oklahoma State University. Qamar holds a Ph.D. in Power Systems Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering, along with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering (with honors).
