Joe Achett

Joe Achett currently serves as Principal Engineer at PubNub since March 2023 and previously held the position of Principal Software Engineer - Distinguished Technologist at OpenText for a brief period following the Micro Focus acquisition. Prior to that, Joe Achett was with Micro Focus from September 2017 to January 2023, focusing on SecureData Enterprise integration with Cloud and Big Data technologies. Joe's career began at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as Principal Software Engineer - Master Technologist, where efforts were concentrated on security integrations for BigData products. Earlier experience includes technical leadership roles at Voltage Security, Elemental Security, and consultant positions at various firms, all contributing to a depth of expertise in software engineering and security solutions. Joe Achett earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University between 1989 and 1993.
