Barrie Harvey has extensive work experience spanning several industries. Barrie is currently the Chief Operations Director at Pulpex, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to that, Barrie worked as a Consultant at Technical Leadership and Management Consultants, specializing in organizational and performance transformation in challenging environments.
Barrie also served as the Interim Estates and Engineering Transformation Director at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust from October 2019 to February 2021. Barrie was previously the Interim Chief Engineer at Thames Water from October 2018 to October 2019. Additionally, Barrie held the position of Interim Head of Engineering and Estates at Wightlink Isle of Wight Ferries LTD from November 2017 to October 2018.
Before entering the consulting and interim management sector, Barrie worked at Carillion, where they held various roles including Technical Operations Director and Chief Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic development, technical focus, and implementation of policies within the services and health sectors.
Barrie's career began in 1993 when they joined the Royal Navy as an Officer. Barrie served until 2012 and later transitioned to the Ministry of Defence as a Strategic Defence Logistic Risk Manager, a role they held until 2013. Before leaving the public sector, Barrie worked at MITIE as a Senior Account Manager from January 2013 to April 2014.
Barrie Harvey obtained a BEng (Hons) degree in Marine Systems Engineering from the Royal Naval Engineering College between 1993 and 1996. In 2006 to 2007, they pursued an MBA from the University of Bath with a focus on Business.
