Fereydoun Maali has worked in image processing and related areas addressing applications in robotic vision (2D & 3D), biomedical, automotive, defense, electronics, semiconductor and analytics of surveillance since 1983. He was the president of Signal Recognition Corporation, a New York state image processing software development company from 1991 until joining PureTech in 2005. During this time he was a consultant to many corporations including NYNEX Science & Technology, Universal Instruments, RVSI, United Technologies Norden Systems, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Synopsys and August Technology. From 1985-1991 he was a Senior R&D Engineer at Robotic Vision Systems Long Island- New York.
