Aaron Thomas

Aaron Thomas is an experienced professional in the fields of entomology, ecology, and business management. Currently serving as Executive Assistant at Purezza since February 2025, Aaron previously held significant roles including Chair of the Board of Directors at the UK Edible Insect Association, where efforts focused on improving Novel Food Regulations for insects in the UK. As COO and co-founder of Better Universal Grub, Aaron established a leading line of edible insect meat alternatives and enhanced production capabilities significantly. Early career experiences include roles as an entomologist and research scientist at Arctech Innovation, and various research positions at the University of East Anglia and John Innes Centre, where expertise in insect behavior and biopesticides was developed. Aaron Thomas holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Ecology and Conservation and a Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology from the University of East Anglia.
