Shaan Chugh has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Shaan started working at Trillium Health Partners as a Physician in July 2016 and later took on multiple roles including Physician Lead for Virtual Care, Medical Director for Assessment Centres, and Physician Lead for Quality and Patient Safety. In November 2021, they became the Medical Director - Solutions at Trillium Health Partners. Additionally, Shaan Chugh served as the Chief Medical Director at Purolator Inc. starting in February 2020. Shaan also held positions at the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor and Quality and Patient Safety Theme Lead. In 2018, they worked as an Internal Medicine Physician at the Cleveland Clinic.
Shaan Chugh's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at the University of Waterloo and obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in an unspecified field of study in 2007. In 2007, Chugh continued their education at the University of Toronto and completed a Master's of Science degree in Cardiovascular Physiology in 2008. Subsequently, Chugh attended the University of Ottawa from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Continuing their medical education, Chugh completed an Internal Medicine Residency at McMaster University from 2012 to 2015. Then, Chugh pursued a General Internal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Toronto from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, during this period, Chugh also obtained a Master's in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety - IHPME from the University of Toronto in 2016-2017.
