Brian Crotty is Executive Vice President and Head of Global Energy and Natural Resources at IHS Markit. He came to IHS Markit through the acquisition of OPIS where he was the Chief Executive Officer since 2002. He has more than 25 years of experience running database and SaaS platform businesses, with a particular specialty in commodity pricing and supply database models.
Before joining OPIS in 2002, Brian spent eight years as a Vice President of Hart Publications. He has a Master’s degree in Journalism from American University and an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University.
