Alexander Calvillo

Alexander Calvillo has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Pushly. In this role, they are responsible for developing the Pushly Platform UI/UX, features, and services using various technologies such as HTML5, SCSS, JavaScript/Typescript, Python, SQL, React, and AntDesign. Alexander also designs and develops scalable application interfaces with Node and works on frontend component libraries and microservices using AWS Services.

Prior to their current role, Alexander served in the Army National Guard from 2012 to 2020 in various positions. Alexander was a S4 Battalion Logistics Officer, where they developed logistical policies and coordinated and supervised all logistical efforts for the battalion. Alexander also served as a Platoon Leader, leading a maintenance program for an Aviation Group and overseeing subordinate development and strategic objectives.

Alexander attended Prime Digital Academy in 2020 as a student, focusing on software engineering and honing their hard and soft skills in the field. Alexander also worked at Target as a Service and Engagement Team Lead, where they led a team of 28 Guest Advocates, interacted with other departments to support business needs, and developed training programs.

Additionally, Alexander worked as a Recruiter at SelectQuote Insurance Services, where they met hiring goals, conducted interviews, and improved the recruitment brand through networking and social media presence. Alexander also has experience as a Solutions Specialist at Verizon Wireless, an Internet Sales Consultant at Youngblood Auto, and a Communications Intern at Nixa Public Schools.

Alexander Calvillo earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Multimedia/Digital Content from Missouri State University, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. In 2017, they attended the Army Logistics University for a brief period, focusing on the study of Munitions Systems/Ordinance Technology. In 2020, they obtained a Full Stack Software Engineering Certificate from Prime Digital Academy, specializing in Computer Software Engineering.
