Jan Spakman

Jan Spakman has extensive experience in project coordination and policy development, particularly focused on environmental issues and sustainable development. Currently serving as Secretaris BO-MIRT Noord-Nederland and Coordinator Deltaplan Noordelijk Nederland at Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland since November 2019, Jan oversees the coordination of various working groups and engages with lobbyists and decision-makers. Additionally, Jan holds leadership roles in the PvdA and Stichting Stedenband Groningen-Moermansk, focusing on strategic urban issues and international collaboration. Previous experiences include various positions at Provincie Groningen, where Jan managed policies regarding wind energy, culture, and environment, as well as significant roles at RIVM and NWO related to research and development in environmental and energy sectors. Jan holds a degree in Natuurkundig Ingenieur from the University of Groningen.
