Peter Nearhos

Peter Nearhos is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in corporate taxation. Currently serving as a Tax Partner at PwC Australia since March 2024, Peter has held significant positions such as Head of Tax and Tax Counsel at QIC from November 2015 to February 2024, and Group Tax Manager at Aurizon from December 2010 to October 2015. With a prior tenure at PwC Australia where Peter progressed from Consultant to Senior Manager between February 2003 and December 2010, Peter has built a robust expertise in the field. Academically, Peter holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from The University of Queensland, along with a Chartered Accountant designation from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
