Christopher King, a Chartered Engineer with membership in the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (CEng MIMEchE), has extensive experience in mechanical engineering and project management across various roles in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Discipline Engineer and Project Manager at px Group since October 2020, Christopher is responsible for TGPP liquids projects. Prior experience includes a role as Lead Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager at Worley, overseeing mechanical design at Spirit Energy’s North Morecombe Gas Terminal and offshore platforms. Christopher also held the position of Technical Authority for Hydrocarbon Containment at Perenco, managing a significant EPC asset rationalisation project. Previous roles at Amec Foster Wheeler involved leading mechanical design for notable projects, including the Buncefield Rebuild and work on petrochemical plants. Early career experience includes a year-long industry placement at BC&T Consultants following a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle University.
