Akira Thompson

Akira Thompson is a seasoned creative professional with a comprehensive background in the design and animation industry. Currently serving as Group Creative Director at PXP since May 2024, Akira previously held the position of Creative Director at R/GA from April 2018 to May 2024, along with roles as Associate Creative Director. Prior experience includes a tenure at Framestore from February 2013 to March 2018, where Akira advanced from Designer to Design Director. Akira's earlier career involved freelance work as a Computer Artist for the City of New York, alongside various 3D animation roles at companies such as Dorian Orange and Quiet Man. Academic qualifications include an MFA in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts and a BS in Fine Art from Skidmore College.
