Daniel Gavelle is an experienced software developer with a robust background in leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as a Software Developer at Pyronix since January 2017, Daniel previously held the position of Consultant and Director at Gavelle Ltd, primarily working on a contract with EDMI metering. As a Principal Software Engineer at NXP Semiconductors from July 2010 to December 2014, Daniel was the technical lead for Zigbee, engaging with the Zigbee alliance and overseeing architecture across multiple locations. Earlier roles include Software Team Leader at Jennic Ltd, which was acquired by NXP, and at Sonatest Ltd, where Daniel led teams in developing bespoke industrial ultrasound inspection systems. Additional experience includes Senior Software Engineer at Pace, focused on software for cable and IPTV set-top boxes, and Team Leader and Software Engineer at Capula, where monitoring systems for electricity power were developed. Daniel holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from The University of Manchester.
