Cherian John is a seasoned Cyber Security Manager at Qatar Airways since July 2014, where responsibilities include collaboration with SOC and MSSP technology specialists to enhance monitoring capabilities across a complex IT infrastructure with over 80,000 events per second. Prior to this role, Cherian served as Controller - IT Security at Burgan Bank, overseeing risk assessments and incident response as a Senior Information Security Engineer, and held positions in Smart Vision and Smart Systems focused on IT infrastructure design and team guidance. Cherian's career began as an Information Security Engineer at UST Global, contributing to ISMS certification and perimeter security initiatives. Educational qualifications include an MS in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science and a B. Tech in Computer Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
