Gamal Galal is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry with extensive experience in drilling operations and engineering. Currently serving as Head of Operations Engineering at QatarEnergy since November 2023, Gamal previously held the position of Senior Drilling Operation Engineer at Qatar Petroleum from November 2012 to November 2023, focusing on exploration and gas wells. Prior to that, Gamal worked as a Drilling Operation Engineer at ADMA-OPCO, specializing in HPHT gas wells, and spent two years as an Account Manager with Schlumberger, overseeing operations in the Abu Dhabi fields. Early in the career, Gamal gained significant experience at GUPCO-BP Egypt as both a Drilling Engineer and Drilling Supervisor. Gamal holds a BSC in Petroleum Engineering from Al-Azhar University, attained between 1994 and 1999.
