Bertus van Zyl is an experienced consultant and engineer specializing in security systems, particularly in time and attendance and access control solutions. Bertus has been a consultant at QCIC since October 2020, focusing on system administration and supporting global systems using Ccure 9000 and Genetec products. Previously, Bertus worked as a security engineer at NEXTEC Digital Infrastructure from June 2017 to October 2020, managing project implementations and providing software and hardware support. Prior experience includes serving as an SLA engineer for EOH Integrated Services at Distell LTD and for the City of Cape Town, as well as early roles at EOH Integrated Services focusing on time and attendance systems. Bertus holds a National Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the Central University of Technology, completed in 2005.
