Mobility Development - Rail at Qiddiya

Tom Olliver is a seasoned professional in civil engineering and rail planning with extensive experience in significant infrastructure projects. Currently, Tom leads the Mobility Development for the light metro system at Qiddiya, focusing on connectivity across a vast 360km² development. Prior to this role, Tom served as Head of Rail Planning and Operations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at Jacobs, overseeing event rail operations to ensure safe transit for spectators and workforce in Doha. Tom's earlier experiences include managing infrastructure assurance for the $19.2 billion Doha Metro at CH2M and serving as a Principal Tunnel Engineer at Mott MacDonald, where Tom was involved in major metro projects in Doha and Riyadh, as well as tunnel engineering in various international contexts. Tom holds a Master of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering with Management from the University of Birmingham.
