QMIND
Marcelo Chaman Mallqui is an accomplished co-founder of Workman AI, specializing in automating data entry processes using OCR and LLM technologies, integrated with QuickBooks and Gmail for enhanced efficiency and accuracy. As a competitor with the Queen's Case Competition Union, Marcelo represents Queen's University in international case competitions. Previously, as a Software Engineer Intern at Tread, extensive experience was gained in full stack engineering with React and Ruby on Rails. Marcelo served as Co-President and Managing Director of Operations at QMIND, overseeing numerous AI research projects and significantly growing the club’s membership and engagement. Marcelo's leadership extended to serving as President of the Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Artificial Intelligence, organizing Canada’s largest AI conference. Earlier entrepreneurial ventures include founding University Media Group and verycalmstudios, with a track record of successful creative marketing and design initiatives. Marcelo is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at the Smith School of Business, Queen's University, and furthering education in product management at BrainStation.

QMIND is Canada’s largest undergraduate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organization with over 200 members and a portfolio that includes 30+ client-facing consulting teams, a published AI research wing, an extensive 14-week educational program, a first of its kind incubator program, and a 300 delegate conference held annually inToronto, ON.QMIND focuses heavily on the production and design of computer-based models that center around the use of neural networks to automate or develop unique solutions to real-world problems. Breeding a culture of permanence and dedication, emphasizing low turnover rates amongst its members, and having a deliberate approach to growth ensures that QMIND will flourish in future years.
