Erin Shepherd is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in backend engineering and payment systems. Currently serving as a Staff Backend Engineer at Qonto since September 2020, Erin has focused on enhancing the card payment experience, previously holding the title of Senior Backend Engineer in the same department. Prior experience includes a role as a Payments Processing Engineer at Monzo Bank, where responsibilities involved maintaining and improving distributed systems for Mastercard. Erin's background also includes significant contributions at Arm, starting as a Graduate Engineer and advancing to a Senior Engineer in the CPU Group, where design and verification of execution core components were key responsibilities. Erin holds a BSc in Physics & Astronomy from The University of Sheffield.

Qonto was born out of frustration. As new entrepreneurs, Alexandre and Steve felt bogged down by their own banking experience. It was time-consuming. It was complex. It also lacked the modern tools that progressive companies need. So, they decided to create a banking product fit for the modern entrepreneur. One that when you use it, just seems to "click". Our goal? To dust off the old banking experience and be the power pack for small businesses. We are driven by our desire to save our customers time.
