Vijay Balakrishna

Vijay Balakrishna serves as the Sr. Director of Research for Infrastructure & Defense Products at Qorvo, Inc. since May 2017. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at Cree from September 2003 to April 2017, such as General Manager, Director of Materials Business, R&D Director, and Engineering Manager, along with a brief tenure as a Research Scientist at Cree and distinguished technical positions at Lucent Technologies and Northrop Grumman. Vijay Balakrishna holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and a Master’s degree in Electronic Materials from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Bachelor's degree from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
