Richard Kingston began their career in 1992 as a Manager at Kilpatrick Farm. In 2000, they worked as a Technical Writer for HSE Multimedia Training. In 2001, they were a Technical Manager at CityLearning, and in 2004, they became a Solutions Architect at WBT Systems. In 2006, they returned to CityLearning as a Production Manager. In 2014, they joined Qstream as a Client Services Manager, and then moved on to become a Professional Services Team Lead, Customer Success Manager, and Senior Client Services Consultant.

Richard Kingston completed a Higher Diploma in Computer Science from University College Dublin in 2000. Richard previously obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare from The University of Edinburgh in 1992. Richard began their educational journey with a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science from Bangor University in 1991.
