Tanmay Banerjee, PhD, serves as a Team Leader and R&D Scientist in Formulation and Product Development at Quaker Houghton, where the focus is on developing advanced industrial process fluids and lubricants for various applications. Prior to this role, Tanmay was a Principal Investigator at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, leading a research team on organic materials for solar-fuel production as part of a USD 170,000 SERB-sponsored project. Previously, at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Germany, Tanmay managed a EUR 1.5 million ERC-funded project developing organic materials for solar energy conversion. Tanmay's early career included a position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Florida State University, where efforts centered on enhancing light-harvesting efficiency in dye-sensitized solar cells. Tanmay holds a PhD in Synthesis and Spectroscopy from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, alongside Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta.
