Ashley Baal has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ashley began their career at Reznick Group in 2005, where they worked as a Management Consultant and Project Manager until 2011. In 2012, they joined 3Seventy as a Program Manager, a role they held until 2014. From 2014 to 2017, Ashley served as the Director of Operations and Consulting Services Fulfillment at Anaconda, Inc., and also took on the role of Chief of Staff from 2015 to 2017. Ashley then worked as a Project Manager Consultant at Wine For the People from 2016 to 2018.
In 2018, Ashley joined Quansight as a Senior Program Manager and Operations Manager, a position they held until 2022. Ashley then progressed to the role of Senior Vice President of Business Operations before ultimately becoming the Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, starting in 2020, they also worked at OpenTeams, serving as the Senior Program Manager and Partner Accounts Manager until 2022. In 2021, they began their role as the Senior Vice President of the Project Success Team and continued until 2023.
Ashley Baal obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, studying from 2001 to 2004. In 2010, they received a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Institute of Project Management. Additionally, Ashley Baal holds a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, but the month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.

Quansight was started by Travis Oliphant (NumPy, SciPy, Numba, Conda, XND, NumFOCUS, PyData). Travis is a well-known PyData community leader and founder of Continuum Analytics. Before Quansight, he and others who joined him at Quansight helped Continuum get started and develop into Anaconda Inc. While creating a successful enterprise softwarecompany utilizing open source, their team at Quansight discovered business models that bridge open source communities with innovative companies and projects.Quansight grew out of Anaconda in order to facilitate broad community-led innovation and development in Machine-Learning and Data Science. They help their clients gain actionable, quantitative insights from their data, find and mentor talented engineers and scientists, and build technology, products, and services. They help you connect with and sustain the open source communities you rely on. They are Quansight.
