Patrick is currently an Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), where he is Director of the Energy Efficient Microsystems Lab and co-Director of the Center for Wearable Sensors. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Alberta and the S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
