Avinash Umasankaran

Avinash Umasankaran is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in chemical engineering and research. Currently serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at QuantumScape since October 2020, Avinash previously held roles at Cornell University from August 2018 to August 2020, including Teaching Assistant for Physics and General Chemistry courses, Graduate Student Research Assistant focused on developing binder systems for lithium-ion batteries, and Laboratory Technician maintaining advanced lab equipment. Additional experience includes a role as Reliability Associate at Transonic, where process improvement for ultrasonic flow probes was prioritized, as well as project internships at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Research Conclave, IIT Guwahati, focusing on light matter interactions and nanofluids.
