Hutha Sarma

Hutha Sarma is a seasoned expert in solid-state materials, thin films, and ceramics formulation and processing, currently serving as a Consulting Member of Technical Staff (Director) at QuantumScape since December 2017. Previously, Hutha held the position of Senior Materials Scientist at Corning Incorporated from January 2011 to December 2017, where significant advancements in next-generation ceramics for particulate filtration were achieved, resulting in substantial cost savings and increased intellectual property. Hutha’s academic background includes a PhD in Physics from Purdue University, where involvement in high energy astrophysics and various research activities in the Nuclear Engineering Department was prominent. Additionally, Hutha holds a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University.
