Settasit Chaikasetsin

Settasit Chaikasetsin is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at QuantumScape, focused on solid-state battery research and development since January 2024. Previously, Settasit served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant at Stanford University from January 2018 to January 2024, exploring innovative approaches in magnetic domain dynamics, nanofabrication, and thermal properties of nanoscale materials, while also advising students as a Teaching Assistant. Prior internships include a Mechanical Design Engineer role at Divergent 3D, conducting thermal analysis for high-performance vehicles, and a Design Engineer position at LK Boiler Industry, where Settasit designed a superheat steam boiler. Settasit holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering, both from Stanford University.
