Yaosen Tian

Yaosen TIAN is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at QuantumScape since February 2020, previously serving as an Affiliate Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley from August 2015 to January 2020 under the guidance of Prof. Gerbrand Ceder. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology Beijing from September 2012 to June 2015, working under Prof. Lijie Qiao. Yaosen TIAN holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, earned in December 2019, and is pursuing a certificate in Leadership and Management from Harvard Business School, with an expected completion in July 2024. A Bachelor's degree in Materials Physics was obtained from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in June 2014.
