Zach Rouse is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in materials science and education. Currently serving as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff and Failure Analysis Engineer at QuantumScape since June 2022, Rouse focuses on improving solid-state battery technology for electric vehicles. Prior to this role, Rouse excelled as a STEM tutor for Wyzant and Varsity Tutors, employing active-learning techniques to engage students. During a tenure at Cornell University from 2016 to 2021, Rouse conducted significant research as a Graduate Research Assistant, developing an innovative experimental technique in material characterization and gaining expertise in nanofabrication. Rouse also contributed to academia as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Teaching Assistant Development Consultant. Rouse holds a Master of Science in Materials Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
