Brandon J. Payne is an experienced educator and digital literacy specialist with a background in designing and delivering engaging curricula for diverse student populations. Since November 2021, Brandon has served as a Senior Digital Literacy Instructor at Queens Library, while also working as a Digital Media Instructor at BRIC since November 2019, focusing on media instruction and project development for Brooklyn students and families. Previous roles include Information Assistant for Young Adult Services at The New York Public Library, College Pathways and Career Coach at Brooklyn Public Library, and Literacy Specialist at THE POINT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Brandon's expertise also extends to student development and literacy education, with early career experience at institutions such as Iowa State University and the Children’s Defense Fund. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from Iowa State University and received the New York State Advanced Regents Diploma from Bedford Academy High School.
