Vanessa Thompson

Vanessa Thompson is an experienced professional in the field of asset management and engineering, currently serving as the General Manager of Field Services at Urban Utilities since November 2017. With a solid background in wastewater asset management from roles at Kier Group, which included Wastewater Asset Specialist and Planned Works Operations Manager, Vanessa has successfully led multi-region sewer service contracts and managed strategic asset maintenance programs. Prior experience encompasses engineering project management at Atkins, along with various engineering roles in companies such as Teco Barclay Joint Venture, Jacobs Babtie, and British Waterways. Vanessa holds a Master of Engineering Science in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, both from UNSW.
