Optical Test Engineer at QuEra Computing

Henry Thoreen has held various engineering roles since 2016. In 2017, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Skidmore College, where they learned necessary background for nonlinear optics and modulated conjugation. In 2018, they became an R&D Laser Engineer at IPG Photonics, where they built, tested, and shipped prototypes of ultrafast fiber optic pulsed lasers. In 2021, they joined Analog Photonics as a Photonic Test Engineer, where they characterized optical, electrical, and RF testing for silicon photonic devices, sub-modules, and optical transceiver systems for Hyperscale Datacenters and High Performance Computing applications. Currently, they are an Optical Test Engineer at QuEra Computing Inc.

Henry Thoreen obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Skidmore College between 2014 and 2018.
