Abhijith Gopakumar

Abhijith Gopakumar is a Cloud Engineer at QuesTek Innovations LLC since December 2022, specializing in backend APIs, databases, cloud, and cybersecurity. Prior to this role, Abhijith served as the main developer and maintainer of OQMD.org, one of the largest crystalline materials databases, while also working as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant during a PhD program at Northwestern University from September 2017 to December 2022. Earlier experience includes a Research Student position at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where multi-objective optimization algorithms were benchmarked, and a Summer Internship at the University of Pennsylvania focused on data mining and machine learning for novel materials discovery. Abhijith obtained a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a BTech in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
