Joern Mosner has extensive experience in the field of research and development (R&D) within the medical and diagnostics industry. Joern served as the VP of R&D at QuidelOrtho and Quidel in 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Luminex Corporation, including VP of Assay R&D & Clinical Affairs and VP of Assay R&D from 2018 to 2022. Before that, they worked at Siemens Healthineers as the Principal Key Expert Molecular Technologies and Senior Director, Head of Molecular R&D from 2014 to 2018. From 2009 to 2014, Mosner was the Director of R&D at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, where they also served as the Head of New Diagnostics R&D and Head of Pre-Development. Prior to their time at Siemens, they held positions at Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics and Siemens Medical Solutions. Mosner also has entrepreneurial experience, having founded and served as the CEO of GAG BioScience GmbH and Genom Analytik GmbH. Their expertise includes the development of high-throughput traceability systems and genetic testing kits for animal and human health.
Joern Mosner earned their PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Hamburg, where they studied from 1986 to 1995. Before that, they completed their Abitur at Gymnasium Buckhorn in Hamburg from 1979 to 1984. Mosner began their education at Gymnasium Starnberg from 1975 to 1978.
