Richard Egan currently serves as the Director of R&D - Next Generation at Quidel Corporation, a position held since July 2009, where responsibility includes managing the development of innovative rapid medical diagnostic assays utilizing advanced immunoassay technology. Prior to this, Richard held the role of Executive Director of Immunoassay Development at Nanogen from 2005 to 2009, and served as Director of Validation at Chiron Corporation from 2003 to 2005. Richard's earlier career includes the position of Executive Director of Assay Development at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics/Ortho Diagnostic Systems from 1993 to 1997.
