Yuxi Bai

Yuxi Bai is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Qumulo, with a tenure beginning in September 2013, specializing in the design and construction of transactional distributed block storage layers within an enterprise-class Network Attached Storage (NAS) system. Major contributions include I/O scheduling, development of high-performance and consistent physical and logical block stores, implementation of optimized caching systems, and transactional recovery for data durability. Previously, Yuxi served as a Senior Software Design Engineer at Microsoft from July 2006 to September 2013, focusing on high-availability features in SQL Server 2012 and contributing to innovative projects such as the Local Deadlock Monitor and Distributed Deadlock Manager. Yuxi holds a Bachelor of Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo, earned in 2006.
