Huikang Tong has a variety of work experience in both software engineering and data science. In 2015, they worked for the Singapore Armed Forces as a Responder until 2016. In 2019, they completed an internship as a Software Engineer at 2359 Media. Huikang then completed two data science internships, one at Teralytics from April to August 2020, and another at VersaFleet from December 2020 to January 2021. Currently, Huikang is employed as a Software Engineer at Quora starting from November 2021.
Huikang Tong pursued their education with a focus on engineering systems and design. From 2017 to 2021, they attended the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) where they earned a degree in Engineering Systems and Design. Concurrently, starting in 2017 and also ending in 2021, they enrolled at the Singapore Management University where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in General Management.
Prior to these university educations, Huikang Tong pursued their A levels from 2013 to 2014 at Anderson Junior College. Preceding their time at Anderson Junior College, from 2009 to 2012, they completed their O levels at Anderson Secondary School.
In addition to their formal education, Huikang Tong also obtained the General Coding Assessment (GCA) certification from CodeSignal in October 2019.
