Maria J.

Maria J. has a wealth of experience in digital and web design, graphic design, UX/UI design, and teaching. Maria began their career in 2010 as a Teacher's Assistant for 2D Design and Color Theory classes at Universidad ICESI. In 2013, they became a Jr. UI Designer at Press Start Studios, a video games studio based in San Francisco and Colombia. In 2014, they interned at the Colombian Embassy in the Netherlands, where they designed and implemented the first Welcome handbook and created a monthly newsletter. In 2015, they joined OWAK Digital Agency as a Team Lead Designer, where they were responsible for supervising the creative direction of the agency, guaranteeing the quality of the digital campaigns. Maria then moved to Marca Registrada in 2016, where they designed and conceptualized ON/OFF advertising campaigns for brands in the beauty and food sector. In 2018, they worked at both Generalitat de Catalunya/Agència Catalana De La Joventut - Estudio Muto and Natexo as a Disseny Carnet Jove Award Winner and Sr. Digital Web Designer, respectively. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Desigual as a Web & Graphic Designer and Graphic & Digital Designer in the Creative Studio. In 2021, they began working at Qustodio as a Senior Digital | Web & Graphic Designer.

Maria J. attended Universidad ICESI from 2009 to 2015, where they obtained a degree in Interaction Designer, studying Human Computer Interaction, UX/UI Design, Web Design, and Digital Design. Maria then attended IDEP BARCELONA Escuela Superior de Imagen y Diseño (UAO) from 2019 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Illustration, studying Illustration for UI Interfaces. Maria J. also holds three certifications from LinkedIn: Advanced Branding, Design Thinking: Testing and Refining, and Design Thinking: Understanding the Process, all obtained in April 2021.
