Stephen Playo - Cem, Ccp, Ap Bc

Stephen Playo has a diverse work experience spanning over 27 years. Stephen started their career at GMH Associates as a District Engineer in 1992 before moving on to Valens Information Systems / Compucom Systems as a Field Engineer in 1994. In 1997, they joined PWI Engineering as an Associate Engineer and later became the Director of IT Services. Stephen then joined GPBPA in 2007 as the Technology Director and Web Administrator. From 2002 to 2009, they worked at PHY Consulting Engineers as an HVAC Engineer and LEED AP Engineer. In 2009, they joined Pennoni Associates as the Energy Practice Leader, Project Engineer, and Commissioning Agent. Currently, they are employed at Vanderweil Engineers since 2013, where they serve as a Mechanical Engineer, Commissioning Agent, Construction Manager, and Energy Analyst. Throughout their career, Stephen has been involved in various sectors, including healthcare, corporate/commercial, higher education, pharmaceutical & research laboratory, industrial, government/municipal, and residential projects. Stephen possesses multiple certifications, including Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), and LEED AP BD-C.

Stephen Playo received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Science from The College of New Jersey, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. Stephen has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career, including Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) from the Building Commissioning Association in 2013, Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers in 2011, and LEED Accredited Professional - Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C) from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2005. Stephen also holds certifications from Microsoft, including MCSD in 1998 and MCSE in 1995, and a Novell CNE certification in 1994. Additionally, they received their A+ Certification from CompTIA in 1993.
