Disha Dewan has a diverse work experience, starting in 2009 as a Sandwich Placement at MRC National Institute for Medical Research. In 2011, they became a Member of the Business Operations Team at Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club (CUTEC), while also serving as the Student Union President at Lucy Cavendish College in the University of Cambridge. In 2012, they interned at IMS Consulting Group before joining Cambridge Temperature Concepts Limited as a Consultant, where they worked on market entry strategies for a medical device and service. Disha also worked at R K Dewan & Co as a Patent Attorney and Head of Global Business Operations. Their responsibilities included patent prosecution, trademark filing and prosecution, managing patent portfolios, and providing legal advice. Disha actively participated in business development activities, attending conferences, making marketing decisions, and managing the firm's website.
Disha Dewan completed their education in a chronological order. Disha first attended The International School Bangalore from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Their fields of study during this time included Math Higher Level, Physics HL, Chemistry HL, Economics SL, English SL, and French ab initio.
Following their time at The International School Bangalore, Disha studied at Imperial College London from 2007 to 2011. Disha obtained a BSc & ARCS degree in Biotechnology with a year in industry/research.
Disha then pursued further education at the University of Cambridge in 2011 and 2012. Disha completed an MPhil degree in Bioscience Enterprise.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Disha also obtained a certification as an Indian Patent Agent in April 2014 from the Indian Patent Office.
