The RSA
Ben Oliver currently serves as the Head of News and Public Affairs at The RSA (The Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) since January 2024. Prior to this role, Ben was the Communications Manager at the Royal Opera House from November 2016 to January 2024 and worked as a Press Officer in the Prime Minister's Office and Cabinet Office Communications from June 2013 to November 2016. Additional experience includes a position as Communications Manager for The LEP Network in 2014, a Policy Officer at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills from January 2012 to June 2013, and a stint with the British Council in August 2011. Early career highlights include an internship at the European Parliament in 2008 and serving as an Office Assistant to Rt Hon Caroline Spelman MP in 2007. Ben holds a BA Hons in History and Politics from the University of Exeter, complemented by a diploma in Political Science and Middle East Studies from the Galilee International Management Institute.
