Hammad Kamal, CPA, CFE has a diverse range of experience in finance and accounting. Hammad is currently the Director of Finance at R Street Institute, where they are responsible for the overall organization level budget and financial analysis. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Manager, Finance at the same company, overseeing budget monitoring, external accounting consultants, and annual audits.
Before joining R Street Institute, Hammad worked at Counterpart International as a Senior Grants and Finance Officer, where they analyzed finance reports, reconciled accounts, and recorded financial data. Hammad also held the role of Field Finance Officer at Counterpart International.
Hammad also has experience working as a Grants Manager at the American Bar Association, where they monitored budgets and provided assistance in budget development. Additionally, they worked as a Project Accountant at the International Republican Institute, audited international offices, and reviewed contracts.
Hammad began their career as an intern at KPMG. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong skill set in financial analysis, budget management, and audit compliance throughout their various roles.
Hammad Kamal, CPA, CFE, completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from the University of Richmond - Robins School of Business in 2009. Hammad also obtained another BSBA degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Richmond during the same period. Prior to attending the University of Richmond, Hammad Kamal pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences, which they completed in 2006.
