James Williams

James Williams is an experienced policy professional with a strong background in public policy development and reform. Currently serving as Head of Policy at RACV since October 2021, James focuses on shaping public policy to support advocacy, business growth, and societal outcomes. Previous positions include Policy Manager at Transport for NSW, where James oversaw a national reform project, and roles at the National Transport Commission and the Department of Transport, Victoria, where James led various initiatives related to transport policy. James's early career included significant advisory work for the UK Government and development of policy frameworks at the Australian Taxation Office. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Laws and Arts from the University of Melbourne.
