Bruce Buskill

Bruce Buskill currently serves as the Director of Information Technology at Virginia Tech's Bradley Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering since January 2024. With extensive experience at Radford University since November 1999, Bruce has held several roles, including Lead Systems Administrator and Security Engineer, where responsibilities included overseeing on-premise and cloud storage systems, administering single sign-on systems via Shibboleth, and collaborating with the Information Security Officer on various security tasks. Additionally, Bruce has served as the Head of Library Technology, focusing on technology initiatives using open source software, and has a background in Unix Administration and web application development. Bruce holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor's Degree from Radford University.
