Andrew Stout

Andrew Stout is an experienced roboticist and software engineer with a robust background in robotics and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a roboticist and software engineer at RAI Institute since December 2023, Andrew previously held the position of Senior Robotics Software Engineer at Diligent Robotics, focusing on autonomous behavior management for the mobile manipulator robot, Moxi. Andrew's expertise includes leading robotics projects at Charles River Analytics as a Software Engineer, where notable contributions involved designing software for a conversational humanoid robot for Alzheimer's care. Other key roles include Senior AI Engineer at Anki, Character AI Engineer at Jibo, and Boston Studio Manager at Aldebaran Robotics, where foundational team-building and technical leadership were crucial. Andrew holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Swarthmore College and an M.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
