Brian Okorn

Brian Okorn is a Research Scientist at The Boston Dynamics AI Institute, having started in February 2023. Previously, Brian served as a Graduate Student at Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute from August 2016 to February 2023. Significant internships include roles at NVIDIA, where Brian developed a photorealistic rendering pipeline, and NASA, where contributions were made to perception algorithms for the Robonaut 2. Brian's earlier experience spans positions as a Computer Scientist at SPAWAR, focusing on 3D perception and computer vision, and research roles at Vanderbilt University. Academic achievements include a PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University, respectively.
