Griffin Addison

Griffin Addison is a Robotics Software Engineer at RAI Institute, focusing on writing behaviors for the Spot research project. As a Graduate Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania's Kod*Lab, Griffin implemented a sophisticated Whole-Body Controller for quadrupedal robots, utilizing C++ in MuJoCo simulation. Previous experience includes roles as a Robotics Engineer at Vivodyne, where Griffin led the scaling-up of a multi-DOF robot, and as a Vehicle Controls Software Engineer at Lucid Motors, contributing to traction control systems. With a background in various engineering roles, including battery design at Tesla and suspension design for Penn Electric Racing, Griffin's expertise spans across mechanical design and robotics integration. Griffin holds a Master of Science in Engineering in Robotics and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to these achievements, Griffin was also a professional actor and private tutor.
